KBP breaks ground on new Lackawana Taco Bell location.

The corner of Abbott and Ridge Roads in Lackawanna is getting new life in the form of a Taco Bell.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the planned restaurant took place on Wednesday morning. In addition to Lackawanna, KBP Brands is also planning to open Taco Bell locations on Grand Island and in Tonawanda.

The goal is to open all three in late summer or early fall and bring more than 150 jobs to Erie County.

Lackawanna Mayor Annette Iafallo and members of the city council were present for Taco Bell’s groundbreaking.
